The Sanctuary at Red Bell Run is a 501c3 located in Columbus, NC providing a forever home to special needs equines from across the United States. We are home to special needs equines, those with medical or behavioral issues that make them unadoptable. Many times our residents are able to have a good quality of life with managed care; care other organizations may not be able to provide due to staffing or financial restrictions. We strive to give each horse, mule, or donkey we care for the things that they lacked before coming to Red Bell Run. We do a lot of things here at the Sanctuary, but the most important thing we do is simply love them. They come here in need. We fulfill as many of those needs as we can. 

We offer tours of the sanctuary by appointment Tuesday-Saturday year round. Tours are free, but donations are always appreciated. If your party has more than 8 people, please call the office at 828-863-2017 or email sanctuary@redbellrun to book your tour so we can make accommodations for your party.
