Date: March 21, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Location: Pleasant Grove
Join Conserving Carolina and Optimal Arboriculture and celebrate NC Arbor Day by helping Conserving Carolina continue restoration at Pleasant Grove, in Etowah!
Jason Llano, board certified master arborist and the owner of Optimal Arboriculture, will be talking to participants about some of the issues to look for when buying nursery grown potted trees, steps to take to care for your tree before planting, and proper planting techniques. Then, the group will put the lesson to practice as we reestablish Pawpaw at the site.
This is a great opportunity to help diversify habitat at the site and gain skills in proper tree care at the same time. Families are encouraged to participate.
What to bring: Appropriate clothes for the weather forecast, sturdy shoes/boots, drinking water and snacks/lunch.
Gloves and tools will be provided, but if you have your own gloves and/or shovel, please feel free to bring and use them!
Attendance is limited to 20, so please RSVP below. Parking is available onsite.
