North Pacolet River Clean-Up Event in Saluda

Description

We hope you will join us for a riverside litter sweep along the North Pacolet River! The goal is to remove litter left behind by receding Hurricane Helene floodwaters. We will supply trash bags, grabbers, and gloves, but feel free to bring your own if you would like. Please come prepared to walk a short distance to the site and along a brushy floodplain on uneven terrain. What to Wear: Sturdy closed-toe shoes, outdoor attire (including things you don’t mind getting wet and/or dirty) like long sleeves and long pants to protect from sun, bugs, some dense vegetation, etc. What to Bring: Plenty of water, snacks, sun protection, (optional) work gloves Meeting Place: 3104 Pearson Falls Rd, Saluda, NC 28773 (road side parking). Car pooling is encouraged due to limited parking spots.
