Date:   Friday, March 20, at 12:30 p.m  With spring bringing warmer temperatures, blooming flowers and longer daylight hours, community members are invited to lace up their walking shoes and explore a local wellness resource during The Hospital Foundation’s Wellness Walk & Talk event at AdventHealth Polk. 

The Hospital Foundation in support of AdventHealth Polk will host our first Wellness Walk & Talk of 2026 on Friday, March 20, at 12:30 p.m. along the Tom Raymond Memorial Fitness Trail. Participants will access the trail from the parking lot behind the hospital, across from the Emergency entrance. This month, Scott McDermott will offer a brief presentation providing guidance on exercise safety. Scott is an Occupational Therapist at AdventHealth Polk, and serves as the Director of Therapies for the hospital. Following the presentation, participants will take a guided walk around the half-mile fitness loop. 

The Wellness Walk & Talk events are intended to encourage community members to take advantage of the trail while learning more about safe and effective ways to stay active. The fitness trail is conveniently located, with ample parking, and offers an easy way to get your exercise routine started close to home.
